Newsletter – December 2020 :-A client’s perspective

Dear Friends

May this year bring us new beginnings, growth, empowerment and new hope for a successful and healthy new year!

Before the year is out, we hope that you will remember to support us, in what has been a challenging year.

Your support helps us make a real difference in women’s lives. Demonstrating just that, is a letter which we were touched to receive from a CCW client this year:

“We have just come to the end of a year of therapy and I want to thank you very much for your guidance, support and your ability to listen, understand, and allow me to grow.

You gave me tools to help me make peace with myself and to come to terms with what I had gone through.  For the first time in my life I was able to embrace my inner child, the teenager and the battered woman: I was able to make peace with all these different parts of myself, which cannot be taken lightly. Before my therapy I was unable to do so, since I was filled with shame and guilt.

It’s true that I had been working on myself for years, but I still could not talk about the sexual abuse, nor did I share with those closest to me what I went through. Inside I knew it was that which was destroying me and which did not allow me to develop any long-term relationships.

With CCW’s help, I realized that my low self-esteem had repeatedly led me to choose partners who were not right for me at all.

After I had completed our therapy sessions, I was able to create a couple relationship from a place of self-acceptance and self-love, and although the relationship did end, the fact that it lasted for a quite a few months strengthened me greatly.

I am now embarking on a search for a relationship, not from a place of need, but rather from a place of strength and empowerment.

Thank you for everything!’”
