Supporting Women in the Midst of It All‏

Dear partners and friends,

In these increasingly uncertain times—now intensified by the new Iranian front—The Counseling Center for Women remains a steadfast source of strength, healing, and hope.

As the conflict expands, both our devoted psychotherapists and the women they serve face a landscape of ongoing crisis and trauma. For many, the current situation is reactivating painful past experiences.
Our therapists are carrying a dual burden: supporting their clients through immense distress while grappling with the impact of this crisis on their own families and lives.

Despite these challenges, we are responding with purpose and determination.

One of our most important initiatives currently is the implementation of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trauma training for our psychotherapists. This evidence-based approach
is a critical tool for trauma recovery and a powerful expression of our commitment to providing the highest standard of care.

We are proud to share that our highly trained psychotherapists have started offering EMDR intervention to their clients, particularly those struggling with war-related trauma.  EMDR supervision groups
are underway, and we are well into the implementation stage of this vital project.

The Counseling Center for Women is dedicated to expanding its support projects and continuing education initiatives to ensure our team is equipped with the necessary resources to navigate current
challenges with resilience and expertise.

As one psychotherapist recently shared:
“The EMDR training was professional and highly relevant to therapeutic work and to the difficult time that Israel—and women in Israel—are currently experiencing. It offers an effective and research-based approach to trauma treatment
and beyond. It enhanced my professional abilities, opened new avenues of thought, and assisted me in my role as a therapist.”

We share this with you not only to update you, but to thank you. It is your unwavering support that makes this work possible.

Together, we are ensuring that women in Israel do not face trauma alone—and that those who care for them are equipped, empowered, and never left behind.

With deep appreciation and hope,
The Counseling Center for Women
